Preparation

Before taking your photographs take a walk around your property and tidy up as best you can. We want to show it looking it’s best.

What to photograph

Decide what areas of the property that you want to make available. The more the better as this creates more options and spaces that could be of interest to a potential productions. Also, you never know what productions are looking for. It may be a bedroom, a kitchen, a garden shed, a cellar or an attic. It may be something very ordinary or something unique.

How to photograph

Choose a good day with as much natural light as you can. Take wide shots from the end and the corners of rooms to show as much of space as you can. One tip is to walk through the house or building photographing in sequence; front, front entrance, hallway, ground floor rooms, stairs, 1st floor and so on. Don’t forget to photograph outside of the property, the front and back (looking at the property and away from the property), any parking areas or access points. Usually about 4 or 5 photographs of each room helps to show the space. Take a look at some of the photographs of similar locations to yours on our website. This should help give you an idea of what is needed.

By the way, they don’t have to be really hi res pictures. Between 200k and 800k each photo is fine.
